UK Atomic Energy Authority’s (UKAEA) Annual Report for the period April 2023 to March 2024 has won the public sector category for the PWC Building Trust Awards, presented in association with the National Audit Office.
The Award judges were seeking a report that was open, transparent and accessible, providing the reader with assurance that taxpayers’ money is being spent effectively.
Judges awarded first place to UKAEA for the “highly visual and attractively-presented reporting that made a complex topic engaging to the non-specialist reader.”
The Award judges commented: “I love UKAEA’s annual report – they do a great job of explaining some super-technical subjects, and the diagram on nuclear fusion is superb.”
In his Annual Report statement, Professor Sir Ian Chapman, UKAEA CEO, said: “Our mission is to make fusion power a reality as quickly as possible and capture value for the UK as we do so.”
UKAEA’s Annual Report was published in July 2024 and can be read in full here.
