UKAEA Software and Computing Recruitment Day

This event will be an opportunity for software engineers and computing specialists to meet with our hiring managers and find out about career opportunities with UKAEA.

The day will involve a presentation about UKAEA, a tour of some of our facilities, as well as a 15-minute interview slot where you can speak with hiring managers to discuss your skills and experience.

Location: Culham Science Centre

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority is at the forefront of delivering sustainable fusion energy. We are seeking to position ourselves as the world leader in fusion power plant design by building on our strengths which have been substantially enhanced in recent years. UKAEA hosts and manages the JET nuclear fusion experiment on behalf of the EU and is also home to the UK`s MAST Upgrade fusion device. UKAEA also works with industry and other third parties to develop new technologies currently in Remote Handling and Materials research.

Software and computing is at the heart of the research and technology advances we`re pursuing across all our programmes: from controlling fusion reactors to digital engineering design for future ones; from simulating plasmas to cutting-edge robotic applications; from developing and exploiting next-generation computing platforms to designing new data tools to accelerate discoveries.
