UKAEA’s growing Graduate Development Programme provides the opportunity to obtain skills and experience to launch your career, working on projects that make a real contribution to developing clean energy from fusion.
The two-year graduate programme will introduce you to UKAEA’s main business activities and enable you to make a personal input to our continuing success. The programme is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institute of Physics (IoP).
Members of the graduate scheme spend 80% of their time on their job role and technical development and 20% on graduate scheme activities. Some of the 20% is allocated to a core suite of tasks and activities specified by the graduate scheme management. The remaining time is flexible, with activities to be chosen by the graduate in discussion with their line manager, their mentor and graduate scheme management.
